The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
